What issues did you have with importing? We'd be glad to help out here.
Thanks for getting back to me.
I'd really like to import my comments into Disqus; then I could make much of the above code redundant!
My blog is hosted at blogs.sun.com, which runs over Roller Weblogger. I suspect the easiest way to get an import of my comments into Disqus would be via an RSS or Atom feed from my blog.
Are there any import tools that support RSS / Atom?
Or is there another way you'd recommend doing it?
Cheers,
Wayne
provide an export in a standard format, we may be able to help you.
Best,
Daniel
Apologies for not getting back sooner, been up and down the UK like a yo-yo the last couple of weeks.
What format do you want it in? RDF? JSON?
If you send me an example I'll get Roller to output my existing comments in that format.
All the best,
Wayne
P.S.
I'm really very pleased with Disqus; I think it's great, so many thanks for providing it, and for all the help here too.
My existing comments are already available as an RSS feed at:
http://blogs.sun.com/eclectic/feed/comments/rss
Or via Atom at:
http://blogs.sun.com/eclectic/feed/comments/atom
However I can format them however you'd like if you have a simpler schema in mind.
Still want to get my old comments translated.
If I send you an XML file with them in could you import them?
Cheers,
Wayne
Hope you're AOK.
Any news on that import function; a load of the lads here at Sun and http://blogs.sun.com/ want to transfer and are citing this as their no.1 reason for not doing so.
Plus the comment spam's getting a bit rum, but I'll take that to mean Disqus is doing really well.
All the best,
Wayne
hope i can use it as my comment system soon
* Following commentators.
* Having my, and my sites, comments followed.
* Being able to easily 'reblog' my comments and make blog entries out of them.
Very nice features
I’m really impressed with this article.

Thanks.
For comment numbers I've broken it mocospace.com down into displaying "n Comments" for Disqus on it's own, whilst "x Comments (new, via Disqus) and y Comments (legacy, via Roller)" for comments hosted on both systems.
It's great at stopping spam !
